Dr. Riddhi Thakkar

Dr. Riddhi Thakkar is a neurorehabilitation-focused physiotherapist with 6 and a half years of clinical experience across India and Scotland, with advanced exposure to pediatric and complex neurological rehabilitation. Her clinical training at NIMHANS involved complex neurological and pediatric caseloads, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, clinical mentoring and exposure to advanced robotics and technology-assisted rehabilitation. She also worked closely with individuals with relapsing-remitting and progressive multiple sclerosis in Scotland, delivering individualized gait, balance, vestibular and exercise-based rehabilitation.

Her approach is centred on understanding the individual before treating the impairment. She works closely with patients and families to brainstorm and individualize goals around their needs, abilities, strengths and challenges, using these insights to build meaningful rehabilitation strategies. Her aim is not simply to improve movement, but to help each individual reclaim function, confidence and participation in everyday life.

As Head of Pediatrics at Neuromatics, she brings together clinical reasoning, evidence-based therapy, technology, robotics and a highly individualized approach to develop rehabilitation that is purposeful, measurable and relevant to each child’s life.
