An exoskeleton is a wearable robotic device fitted to the body that supports and assists movement. The exoskeleton technology we use is designed to detect faint bio-electrical signals from the skin’s surface that occur when a person attempts to move, and to provide assistance that matches the person’s own movement intention.
This “intention-driven” movement creates a feedback loop between the brain and the moving limb, supporting gait and functional mobility training in appropriate patients.
What a Session Looks Like
Assessment of suitability → fitting and calibration → supervised walking/standing practice with therapist → progress review. Sessions are integrated with conventional physiotherapy.
Suitability
Not every patient is suitable. Factors include body size, joint range, bone health, skin condition, spasticity, cognitive ability and medical stability.
